About

Arianna Palmieri (born in 1998) graduated with honors in Sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara, Italy. The Milan-born artist’s pieces explore the relationship between the world, the individual and nature. Her research and work straddles between two parallel lines: on one hand, she focuses on the dynamics of the body and tactility; on the other, she investigates the importance of the natural world and its correlation with art, trying to highlight some contradictions, including the dominant western anthropocentric ideology. Palmieri’s favorite material is marble, which she has recently combined with living elements such as plants and fungi to explore new creative possibilities. She has exhibited her work internationally and partecipated in numerous sculpture symposium realizing monuments in Italy, Germany, France and Saudi Arabia.
